Directors & Committees

Architectural Committee approvals and subsequent compliance

This committee oversees architectural enhancements of the property exteriors (new constructions or remodels). This includes yard hardscape, gates and fences.

Homeowners must complete an architectural approval application and submit to the committee, together with architectural plans and renderings.  The committee reviews the documents and inspects the properties in question.   For committee approval, the application must comply with the CC&Rs, including height limitations.   The committee submits an invoice for the architectural review, and grants final approval when that invoice is paid.  The invoice includes an amount for dues, if it has not yet been paid.  The committee follows up and assures that the final construction conforms with the submitted material.

Beautification Committee: Front Entry/Common areas

MOPOA and AUX Architects developed a more modern, travertine stone entrance monument, designed to improve security and privacy of our neighborhood. This committee is dedicated to bringing the new entrance project to live.

Communications Committee: Replies to phone and e-mail inquiries

This committee processes the messages and inquiries coming through our main phone line and the website.

Film LA Liaison Committee

This committee connects with Film LA to monitor film shoots in Mount Olympus and impose the appropriate fees.

Membership Committee

This committee oversees the welcoming of new residents to our community and is in charge of collecting annual dues membership fees.

Maintenance Committee

This committee liaisons with City services and oversees sidewalks, storm drains, cable boxes, and streets maintenance.

Safety, Security and Traffic Committee (including Patrol and surveillance)

This committee oversees the installation of new high-quality security cameras to ensure a convenient method of accessing the videos by Police and MOPOA members. It also liaisons with LAPD, LAFD ant other Government Agencies to address any relevant safety concerns.

CC&R's Violations and Compliance Committee

MOPOA ensures compliance and continues to clarify property owners' rights and obligations, as well as the Association's own legal rights in the enforcement of the CC&Rs, by issuing Policies and Guidelines, including safety, architectural compliance, view obstructions, filming and peaceful enjoyment.

The Board of Directors of MOPOA meet monthly to conduct the business of the association.  Board meetings are generally held on the first or second Thursday of every month. The meetings are hosted at the homes of the Directors in Mount Olympus and are open to all residents.  Please contact one of the Directors listed below if you plan to attend.
