The Mt. Olympus Property Owners Association (MOPOA) has always considered the safety and security of our community its highest mission. We devote significant effort, resources, and vigilance to protecting the peace of mind we all value in Mt. Olympus.

To help maintain a secure environment for all, Section 10.01 (b) of our CC&R’s requires every homeowner to maintain community patrol service, in addition to or separate from their alarm monitoring ( “…provide community patrolling service...” ).

This service is a key part of keeping our neighborhood a safe place to live, and MOPOA, as Declarant, is committed to enforcing this requirement.

The Need for Change

For over a decade, ADT’s 24/7 community patrol provided a strong, visible presence in Mt. Olympus. However, since April 2024, ADT has reduced its coverage to 8 hours a day while still charging the full 24/7 rate — a dramatic cut in service without a corresponding price drop.

It’s time to bring back the 24/7 peace of mind our community deserves.

Confirm Your Signup:
Once you cancel your previous service, call GETT Security again to enroll in 24/7 service.

Additional security initiatives BOD is working on:

✅ Invite speakers and safety officers at our BOD meetings.
✅ Frequent communication with City agencies, including the CD4 Council Office, LAPD, Senior Lead Officer, LAPD West Traffic Division, and Los Angeles Departments of Street Services, Engineering, and Building and Safety.
✅ Close contact with adjacent community associations to share information and respond to common safety concerns.

Rising Concern — Longer Police Response Times:

At our annual meeting in October 2024, LAPD explained the growing challenge of reduced resources and slow response times. The Hollywood Division is forced to prioritize high-activity areas like Hollywood Boulevard — which means delays in addressing crimes in our neighborhood and a rise in brazen burglaries.
